We employed Paul to convert our garage into a new shower room and spare bedroom. We chose Paul as a local builder, without prior recommendation, and he impressed us immediately with his friendly manner, extensive knowledge, and willingness to discuss the project in great detail before providing a very reasonable competitive quote for the work.
It was clearly understood that the price of the work would not change unless exceptional and unforeseeable problems arose. In the event, the garage roof was found to be rotten and had to be completely rebuilt:
Paul estimated for alternative solutions, and we agreed a price for all the extra work and materials. For other problems, including unforeseen issues with external drainage, Paul absorbed the extra work at no further cost to ourselves. He also voluntarily undertook some additional work, at no extra cost.
Throughout the project Paul and his team were unfailingly punctual, diligent, courteous and a pleasure to have around. We are very pleased with the final result, would certainly use Paul’s company again, and are more than happy to recommend him to other prospective clients.
